Plasma Cutting of a 2-3/4" Thick Plasma Cut Part for the Cellular Phone Towers Industry
Industrial Alloys was contracted by a customer in the cellular tower industry to fabricate a cell tower expansion star. ASTM-A36 hot rolled steel plate material was expertly cut to the specified configuration utilizing an advanced in house AKS plasma cutting system featuring 400 amp hypertherm power unit with bevel head. The tightest tolerances of ± 0.030" were held throughout. 100% dimensional inspection was performed to verify accuracy and quality.
Final dimensions of the expansion star were 2.75" in thickness, and an outer diameter of 38". 12 units were precision cut after a 2 day turnaround time and shipped to the customer in Indian Trail, North Carolina. Fabrication of an Aluminum Rod and Reel Cabinet for the Salt Water Fishing Industry
A customer in the salt water fishing industry needed a custom cabinet for the housing of fishing rods and other equipment. Industrial Alloys, Inc. was contracted to do all of the required work, which included the manufacturing, assembly, and finishing of the lockable cabinet as highlighted below. A combination of advanced equipment and processes including forming, shearing, punching, and certified welding were performed in order to manipulate 5052 aluminum sheet and 6061 aluminum tube materials to the exacting profiles called for in the supplied CAD drawings. The tightest tolerances of ± 0.0625" were held throughout fabrication.
The unit was subjected to a powder coating treatment for an abrasion and impact resistant finish, and tested for accuracy and quality with a 100% dimensional inspection. Overall measurements of the finished cabinet were 48" in length, 60" in width, and 96" in height. One unit was produced after a turnaround time of 2 weeks and shipped to the customer in Holden Beach, North Carolina. Fabrication of a Stainless Steel Dye Range Tank for the Textile Industry
A customer in the textile industry commissioned Industrial Alloys, Inc. to fabricate the custom dye range tank highlighted below, for holding dye. Utilizing T-316 stainless steel and a mix of advanced machinery to perform processes including plasma cutting, laser cutting, drilling, forming, and welding, the specified proportions were met while holding tight tolerances of ±0.010" throughout. The unit was deburred to remove unwanted debris, and subjected to 100% dimensional inspection to verify quality and accuracy.
Overall dimensions of the completed unit were 120" in length, 62" in width, and 54" in height. The tank exhibited smooth milled 2B finish. Fifteen units were completed after a 5 to 6 week turnaround time and shipped to the customer in Lancaster, South Carolina. Fabrication of a Light Aluminum Protection Cage for the Lighting Industry
Industrial Alloys, Inc. was contracted by a customer in the lighting industry to create the custom protection cage highlighted here. This cage would house stage lighting fixtures in a multi-use gymnasium/worship hall space, protecting the contents during sporting events. The cage featured remote operation via a switch, allowing both the front and back ends to open and close. Employing advanced machinery and tools, Industrial’s skilled professionals expertly utilized shearing, plasma cutting, sawing, and certified welding processes on 6061 expanded and tube aluminum and 5052 aluminum plate to achieve the specified contours. A tight tolerance of ± 0.0312" was maintained throughout. The unit was deburred to remove machining debris, and left with a mill finish. A 100% dimensional inspection was carried out to ensure the highest quality and accuracy standards were met.
Eight protection cages were fabricated for this project after a 3 week turnaround time, and shipped to the customer in Weddington, North Carolina. The standards required by the customer were met, as well as meeting the rigorous quality standards set by ISO 9001:2008. Fabrication of a Custom Backhoe Bucket for the Construction Industry
For three decades,Industrial Alloys, Inc. has been a premium provider of high quality processed metals and custom fabricated metal products. In the project highlighted here, a customer in the construction industry contracted Industrial Alloys for the custom fabrication of a specially designed backhoe bucket. In-house state-of-the-art machinery and tools were utilized to employ processes including plasma cutting, drilling, and forming on AR-400 and ASTM-A36 hot rolled carbon steel plates. The bucket’s intricate contours and detailing were created with precision CNC turning, and certified welding processes. The tightest tolerance of ± 0.030" was held throughout production. The unit was finished with a coating of gray paint and evaluated for accuracy and quality with a 100% dimensional inspection.
Finished dimensions of the bucket were a length of 24" and width of 36". One unit was fabricated after a turnaround time of 2 weeks and delivered to the customer in Monroe, North Carolina. The customer’s specifications and the highest quality standards were met during the fabrication of this unit. Fabricated Aluminum Soccer Goal for the Athletics Industry
In-line with our capabilities as a premium metal supplier and custom metal parts fabricator, Industrial Alloys was contracted by a customer in the athletics industry to fabricate the soccer goal as shown here. 6061-T6 aluminum tube was formed with our cutting edge Baleigh RMD 350 tube bender to meet the exacting required profile, holding a tight tolerance of ± 0.0625" and an angular tolerance of ± 1° throughout construction. A 100% dimensional inspection was applied to the completed unit, to verify accuracy and quality.
There were 225 goals constructed for this project within 1 week, and shipped to the customer in Matthews, North Carolina.
